Expedia Group
Data Management Central
CASE STUDY
User Experience, Interface Design
At Expedia, I spearheaded the transformation of Expedia's Data Management Central, an internal data central web application, which initially relied on iframes for its functionality. Although the application had demonstrated its value, it required enhancements to provide a more engaging and intuitive user experience.
A critical aspect of the project involved aligning the application with the Expedia Group design system guidelines, ensuring seamless integration with shared components for consistency and brand cohesion.
In close collaboration with a team of product managers and engineers, I played a pivotal role in developing this user-friendly tool. My contributions focused on elevating the user experience by implementing intuitive navigation and ensuring compliance with existing design patterns and standards.
Through a meticulous design process, I refined the user interface to offer a visually appealing and cohesive experience while maintaining consistency with the Expedia Group's design language. The enhancements aimed to foster greater engagement and ease of use for the application's users.
By incorporating user feedback, I iteratively refined the design to align more closely with user needs and preferences. This approach ensured that the final product not only met the necessary functional requirements but also surpassed user expectations.
The result was an enhanced version of Expedia's Data Management Central, which received positive feedback from users and stakeholders alike. The transformation of the application provided a more captivating and enjoyable experience for users while maintaining compliance with design standards and guidelines.
My active involvement in this project improved the user experience, streamlined navigation, and maintained design consistency, making Expedia's Data Management Central a more efficient and user-friendly tool for its intended audience.
